Swaalina gets candid about her new music video 3 Fire

Published

Actor Swaalina is excited about her new music video releasing soon. Called 3 Fire, the video is very special to her. Talking about the same, she says, “I am really excited about this one because I am playing a totally different character from the previous music videos that I have done and everyone will see a different side of me. The song is really catchy and interesting. I have always listened to Sharry Maan’s songs, for example, 3peg is my favourite. Our one releasing on 5th is called 3 fire. The music has been done by the music director of 3 Peg, MistaBaaz.”

Talking about her other music videos, she says, “I have done 6 so far, the first one was Prada which is going to cross 500 million views on YouTube. Of course, numbers don’t say much but, it literally became an anthem in Punjab and won the title of the Punjabi song of the year in none filmy category. I have been lucky with the song choices I have made and all of them were loved by the audience for different reasons, some for the chemistry with the singer or the playfulness of the song.”

The actor has had quite an interesting journey. “I started doing loads of TV commercials. The first one was with Shah Rukh Khan who I adore a lot, and from there on I have done ads for brands such as Nivea, Vivel soap, Kurkure, Lays, Nescafe, Volkswagen, Sunsilk. I have worked with Amir Khan, SRK, Farhan Akhtar and a few other actors.  I got offers for Bollywood films as well but since I had to make the right decision, I didn’t take them up, somehow I felt they weren’t the right choice for me at the time,” she says.

She adds, “I started working in the Punjabi industry and I really love it! It’s exactly what I wanted to do. The journey so far has been great and adventurous, not easy of course but what in life is? I love challenges and the fact that whatever work I have done so far has been great and appreciated, what else can one ask for!”

Priyanka Choudhary: I want to do roles that willl find a connect with masses and they can easily relate

TV actress Priyanka Choudhary, who was last seen on Gathbandhan, who recently changed her name from Pari to Priyanka is looking forward to doing challenging roles both in films and television. Her dream role is the one that Kareena Kapoor played in Jab We Met and Alia Bhatt in Highway. She says, “Defining a particular role would be a tad bit unfair. Expectations often lead to preconceived notions, and that’s the last thing one wants. Having said that, doing a role like Kareena from Jab We Met or Alia Bhatt from Highway would definitely be very interesting. Kareena’s role is similar to how I am as a person, and Alia’s role on the contrary would be a challenge as it’s a totally different mindset I would have to adapt too!”

The actress aspires to be remembered for the variety of roles she gets to essay onscreen and mostly the viewers should connect with it.

Priyanka has a great physique and she keeps fit with her regular cardio sessions. She says, “Regular cardio sessions, sleeping on time and no late meals is important.” The actress has no qualms in wearing a bikini on screen if the role demands it. She says, “I think it all depends on the script in front of you and vision of the director. If the scene requires a bikini, and it is being depicted in a tasteful manner, I’m okay with it. ”

Finally, Priyanka connects with TV shows that were made a decade back. She says, “I think Indian TV over the years has given us content that’s far better than anything in the shorter format. A Sarabhai vs Sarabhai, Hum Paanch or a Dekh Bhai Dekh would anyway still be popular amongst common people. TV has its own reach and it’s own audience. I think we all have to respect that.”

Trishaan Singh Maini roped in for Mohini Shabade’s #Mandi

We reported earlier that Mohini Shabade’s web-series for Prime Flix underwent a name change from Brothel to #Mandi. Now we heard, Trishaan Singh Maini, who was seen in Vikram Bhatt’s Hadh has been roped in to play one of the leads in the series.

When contacted Trishaan told us, “I am playing an ambitious Software Engineer in the series, who fell in love with a girl. Later he was shell-shocked, when he came to know about the sexual orientation of his girlfriend.”

When quizzed, what is the USP of the web-series, ‘Sarabjit’ actor said, “The story and the way character’s are portrayed is charismatic, and I feel that’s the USP of #Mandi. I am grateful to our producer Mohini (Shabade) for choosing this beautiful subject and I am very fortunate to be a part of her show.”

The green-eyed Delhi lad shared an interesting co-incident with us. “In Gehraiyaan, Sanjeeda Sheikh fell in love with someone else, while in ‘Hadh’ my girlfriend cheated on me. And now in #Mandi, my partner is a bit confused whether she should be with me or not. So this will be the third consecutive time my on-screen partner is going to leave me for someone else(laughs),” he said jokingly.

For the uninitiated, the web-series was earlier titled ‘Brothel’. It is produced by Mohini Shabade, Ashu Dhaliwal, and Akshy Mishra under their banner Mighty Grace Media. Also, Mohini has co-produced Chak De Fame Sagrika Gathge’s upcoming Marathi film titled Monsoon Football.
