TV actors share Dusshera miracles!

Dusshera signifies the victory of good over evil. TV actors share their experiences of this phenomenon.

Sanjay Gagnani: Dussehra is a reminder for everyone that good will always prevail and triumph over bad and evil. I’ve witnessed this myself in my personal life a lot of times. As they say, what goes around, comes around. What you sow, so shall you reap. It’s true! Whoever has done anything wrong or bad to me has somehow been taught by life. That’s when I realized that the universe plays an important role in balancing and Karma always pays. As they say, a good deed is never lost, we should keep doing good so that only good things would happen to us.

Rohitashv Gour: In my life, I have always felt that good will always triumph over evil, you see the truth losing but it doesn’t lose in reality. Something similar happened to my mother, things were against her but she was honest that circumstances changed and those people against her lost. The proverb is true that good wins over evil.

Amit Sarin: Such age-old phrases that are reflected through our festivals is the ultimate essence for us to remember and practice in our day to day life. ‘Good’ means the ability to empathize with other people, to feel compassion for them, and to feel for their needs as your own. It means, selflessness, and self-sacrifice towards a greater cause, all qualities which stem from a sense of empathy. “Evil” is being self-centered, self-absorbed, greedy, when one’s own needs and desires are paramount. So practicing these “GOOD “ virtues is the victory of “Good over Evil. Happy Dussehra.

Shridhar Watsar: During my college days, when I was in 11th standard, other boys were ragging me but I was internally stable. After a couple of days, those boys became my good friends this way I witnessed the miracle of good over evil.

Sachin Parikh: I must tell you that personally at every moment of my life I feel there is always a victory of good over evil. Everyone’s life is full of challenges and new struggles but the secret of a good and stress-free life is to remain evil free and positive in life. Life is a full circle and your karma will come back and hit your life sooner or later. So, I strongly believe in this miracle and apply to my day to day life.

Amal Sherawat: Very recently, an incident happened to me. I was finalized for a web series and was working hard for it. Someone else was trying to malign my image to make sure I am out of it and he gets the role. I was angry but I chose faith over negativity. I kept working hard on myself with a positive mind and eventually shot for the series. I believe if you don’t think bad for others, God will never let anything bad happen to you.

Avinash Mishra:  I have witnessed. There was a time when my family was going through a bad financial state because of some rivalry in the family. But my father never said anything to any of the other family members because he knew he was betrayed by his people. But as we say, there is always a victory of good over evil. My father got promoted in a bank and we shifted to another city and people who betrayed us lost all their money and business but my father still helped them.

Ashish Trivedi: Each of us has a vision of good and evil. We have to encourage people to move towards what they think is good. Everyone has his idea of good and evil and must choose to follow the good and fight evil as he conceives them. That would be enough to make the world a better place.

Rajesh Kumar:  There is nothing evil and good, the division between bad, good, ugly are all man-made. Your mind divides the world into good or bad, nothing is bad, everything has some purpose and beauty. There is no difference between an ant and a human being. For me, Dussehra is a movement from darkness to light, unawareness to awareness. Rally for River is the biggest example for me. I was unaware about the condition of the river, a tree that was the evil thing, which was there in me that I was unaware about the drastic changes which were happening in the climate, soil and nature. But after Rally for River, that evil changed into good and I jumped from acting and contributed a little bit towards ecological development and the betterment of the earth, planet and nature

Sneha Shah: THR’s Sampada is my favourite character so far

Actor Sneha Shah, who plays the role of Sampada, in Amir and Sonali Jaffar’s hit show Tujhse Hai Raabta, loves it. The actor says that her character is multi-layered and has evolved over the course of the show. “Sampada is one of my favourite characters. She is the most unpredictable character in the show. She has many shades. This character was initially positive then turned negative and after a few incidents, she again became positive. Recently, when Sampada’s character got reintroduced, it took a sharp U-turn towards the negative side,” she says, adding, “The journey was really surprising and that’s what makes it unique.”

The emotional side of Sampada is very strong, says the actor. “When she was in true love with Atharva, her whole world was Atharva only. And of course, she is very attached to her mother and son also, which has its own emotional derivations. Sampada is emotionally-driven and this is what I love the most about her,” she says.

Not only does Sneha love her character, but she also loves shooting the show as well. “All the actors on the set are like one big family. We eat together, we party together, we celebrate many festivals together and I love them all. We love our tea breaks the most. Whenever we get time, we drink tea or coffee together with some homemade snacks,” she says.

Sneha also shares a great relationship with producer Sonali Jaffar. “Sonali Ma’am is the coolest producer I have ever met. For her, we are like her family. She and her partner, Amir sir always invite us for many festivals and parties at their home. And whenever they visit the THR set, they always motivate all the actors and other crew members to deliver better work in their respective field. We all love Sonali ma’am and Amir sir,” she says.
