TV town gears up for the India-Pakistan Match

Published

on

16th is India-Pakistan cricket match in the World Cup and we are set! Here’s how these Tv actors are going to enjoy the match!

Shehzad Shaikh:

Well, cricket has always been special in our country. Everyone really likes cricket. But I grew up in a multicultural society so I have been in a room where we were 6 Pakistanis and 6 Indians and we have been very close throughout the year. But on this day for 6-7 hours, you will see everyone hopping on each other. People tend to take it up politically and patriotically. But if you are someone who stays in the Middle East or outside there you will see the Indians and Pakistanis eat together, stay together and watch the match together. It brings our Indian sub-continent together it brings out good rivalry together. And at the end of the day, what is the fun in cricket if you don’t have an arch-enemy to fight against. I think I am going to watch the match and will video call all my friends all over. And I think a lot of TV’s are going to break on the day of the match. So, for the good spirit of cricket and unity, we love each other but then again it is a World Cup so we want the victory.

Samir Soni:

I think cricket is a religion in India Because it crosses all the boundaries regardless of your caste, creed and everyone comes together for a cause and that’s India. That’s one of the most unifying factors in the entire country. And if the match is against Pakistan, it makes it more exciting because Pakistan is our arch-rival because of whatever is happening at the border. And whatever is happening at the field is just meant to be enjoyed.

Ira Sone:

I feel that cricket is not just a game but it is an emotion, especially when it is India vs Pakistan match. The energy and the adrenaline are so high when everybody gets together and to me, that’s important as everybody together hoots for our Indian Cricket team. We have a really good team and a really good game going on this year so I am very confident that we are going to get this one too, so cheers to team India.

Angad Hasija:

Not only me but the excitement and eagerness of the whole nation rises when it comes to the match of India vs Pakistan. Kids, adults and the older generation; all of them come together and enjoy watching the match at home. Also, cricket has become our religion and the match which is going to take place on 16th has created a hysteria all over, everyone is really very excited and even I am excited though I am not much of a cricket person since it’s India vs Pakistan’s match that is the reason why I am excited. I will go out with my friends and we will sit and watch the match together.

Sahil Anand:

Yes, like the whole nation, I am also very excited and everybody is looking forward to this match. I am very glad that after such a brief pause this match is happening again. And whereas unity is considered so I’d like to add one point that they are our competition. The cricketers are doing their job. And people should see this match as a sporting event only and not something else. And the patriotic streak can be seen in any match, that may be any country against whom India is playing with. But comparatively, the tussle is more when Pakistan is the opponent. So, I feel that people should see this match as a game only.

Nishant Malkani:

An India-Pakistan match is no less than a festival for all the Indians as it brings out the most patriotic self of an Indian. We have so much history with Pakistan and there are so many things that we do not agree with them and there are a lot of times that they have tried to hurt us, sometimes morally and most of the time immorally. There is a lot of excitement for our team as it is playing outstandingly and very rarely they have performed less than anybody from Pakistan. This time our team is extremely strong and on the 16th the match is going to unify the whole country. I am going to personally enjoy it with my friends and my plans are already made. I have taken an off from the shoot just to sit at home and watch the match with my friends and celebrate India’s victory. Cricket does unify us when we have India- Pakistan match and there is one song on all our lips which is hooting for our Indian team and I actually believe that the World Cup should come to India again this year.

Sana Makbul Khan:

I am so damn excited!  I like cricket but I am shooting for my new show Vish so I will catch the score updates on my mobile. If I get an off, I will see the match on TV with my friends and chill. India-Pakistan match is always interesting. People should not make this a political matter but should rather take it in a sporting spirit. Not only me, but my whole family will sit together and watch this match especially provided I get an off on that day.

Jasmin Bhasin:

Not only me but the excitement and eagerness of the whole nation rises when it comes to India v/s Pakistan match. People of all age groups come together and all the other activities come to a halt. I am sure that on 16th, no one will step out of their houses as it is a Sunday too. It will be great fun to watch the match over a tub of popcorn.

Helly Shah:

The hype and excitement of India v/s Pakistan match is incomparable to any other matches or any other team that plays against India. And since, it is a Sunday on 16th, so everyone must have cancelled their other plans and every cricket fan across the nations will sit before their TV sets without even wasting a second. I might not be able to watch the whole match since I will be shooting that day. But I will keep myself updated with the score in between.

Yesha Rughani:

I remember, earlier, people used to burn firecrackers whenever India used to win. But this time the competition is much higher. And lastly, as it is said, the best one always wins. And I think the history will repeat itself. And I have faith in Virat Kohli’s captainship, even this time the boys will bring the trophy home.

Ullu App to produce a web-series on Peshawar’s terrorist attack

Remember the brutal terrorist attack in Peshawar’s Army Public School on December 16, 2014, in which more than 148 people, most of them children, were killed? At that time not only Pakistan, but the whole world, including Indian felt the pain and sorrow. We heard, Ullu App is making a series on the brutal attack.

According to our sources, “The web-series, which is tentatively titled ‘Peshawar’ is terror based love story, which will revolve around people who were involved and killed in a terrorist attack on an army-run school of Pakistan.”

To get, the more details about the series, we got in touch with Ullu’s CEO Vibhu Agarwal. He said, “After Halala, Panchali, Mona Home Delivery and #MeToo, we are coming up with another interesting series. Although, it is based on Peshawar’s terror attack, but we are also exploring another angle, which as of now I won’t be able to reveal.”

When quizzed, why he chose to make a series on terror attacks in Pakistan instead of the Mumbai blasts, URI or Phulwama, Mr. Agarwal said, “Honestly, I wanted to make a series after the URI attack happened. I was also keen on producing a series on 26/11 Mumbai attacks. But since both the terror attacks are already explored, that’s why I decided to drop the idea and chose terror attack on Peshawar. It was a heart wrenching and devastating terror attack. I still wonder how can someone kill innocent school-going kids? It’s been around 5 years, but the wounds are still afresh. Last year, when someone suggested that I produce something on it, I immediately decided to give the green signal.”

We heard Ullu is planning to make a series on Phulwama attack also. Confirming the same, Vibhu said, “Phulwama happened after we did research on Peshawar’s terror attack. Once we complete this series, we will surely come up with something based on Phulwama terror attack.”

If Not an actor I would have been a footballer- Vivian Dsen

Not many people know that actor Vivian Dsena is a big-time football crazy. Not only does he like to watch football, but he is a terrific football player himself, “Yes, I’m into football big time. I have been playing the sport since I was 10 years old. My father was a professional footballer so in Ujjain quite early in life I developed love for the sports.  my mother was an athlete for Indian Railways and father a footballer for Indian Railways I am a big admirer of Messy and have followed his career graph.
I thrive on footballl as a sports and feel it gives body and mind a perfect balance.
. I prefer football any day over gym or any other sport. To be honest, I have no affinity towards cricket, not even if I am getting paid. For cricket I won’t even travel 2 kms but for playing football I would travel 250 kms too. Cricket I do watch but I will never take an off just to watch cricket. I am aware cricket is religion in India and people are crazy. I am following world cup but only with regards to India. I catch up the score on TV but I am not mad about cricket at all. I feel football need to be encouraged more in India especially in school and colleges. !”
Vivian has played a lot of matches against Bollywood stars as a part of the All Star football team. He explains, “It is a good experience and we all are learning the game. It has been three years now that we have been playing together. Our team is called All Star Football Club. We practice at least four to five days a month, mostly on Sunday evenings. Since everybody has a very hectic schedule, including Ranbir Kapoor,  we have to adjust to everybody’s timings and practice accordingly.  Playing football gives me lot of peace and satisfaction. I have had some back issues when I couldn’t play football for some months. Football si one topic I can talk on for long. Someday I will like to open a football academy for sure. The world players should be invited to India often to encourage the sports. When you meet someone you admire it gives a very different kind of motivation. If I had not been an actor I would have been a footballer for sure.  Football gives me a high of different kind. I play football once a week. More than that is not possible courtesy daily soap shoot. Every actor should play atleast one sport once a week. Gym is fine but there is no substitute of playing a sport.
