Vineet Raina on being part of Ishq Mein Marjawan: If the audience doesn’t hate my character, then I have failed somewhere

Published

Actor Vineet Raina, who plays the role of Virat in the show Ishq Mein Marjawan, says that he doesn’t relate to his role at all. The actor adds that the only thing he loves about his character is that he is in the Police. “ I don’t relate to Virat since he is a villain. He is too evil and a self-centred man. The only thing I like is that I get to wear a police uniform. I have always said that if I was not an actor, I would have joined the force,” he says.

The actor says that the show is doing very well. “A show which was supposed to be a finite show initially has completed 400 episodes successfully. Do I need to say more? The response is delightful,” he says.

The show recently completed 400 episodes and the actor couldn’t be prouder. “Completing 400 episodes is a milestone indeed for a show of such genre because it is too difficult to keep the intrigue alive in a daily soap. I am glad we did that. I feel great about it,” he says.

Vineet enjoys working with the production house Beyond Dreams as well. “Working with Beyond Dreams is like being in a family and working together towards success,” he says.

The actor has received a lot of compliments for his role.  “I receive all sorts of compliments for playing Virat, even sometimes criticisms and hatred, which I take as compliments. If the audience doesn’t hate my character, then I have failed somewhere.  I am supposed to get showered with hatred, that’s a villains reward,” he says.

Vineet shares a great equation with the entire team. “We all are extremely close on the sets, not just the actors but the entire unit.  The cast eats together,” he says.

Actor Samir Onkar’s new pictures are a testimony to the fact that the actor is quite a hottie. He looks completely refreshed in the pictures and leaner than usual. “I make sure to maintain myself. It’s all got to do with a positive approach towards life. Most importantly, if you truly love yourself, then you’ll do anything to achieve your goals and that’s the spirit which I follow. When it comes to maintaining yourself, I must say it needs lots of hard work and a balanced diet,” he says.

The actor says that being fit is a great plus point in the industry. “I wouldn’t say it’s necessary to be lean for all the actors but it’s great if you are fit and looks impressive and not only actors even each and every person should keep themselves fit,” he says.

He adds, “I look rough and tough and believe that it helps me a lot to portray negative or strong grey characters. But at the same time, I always try to fit in every character whether its negative or positive. Looking good is important but everyone has their own charm as well.”

Samir also feels that no one should get obsessed with being fit too. “Most of the actors overdo their diet cycle and even their workout schedules. In fact, I did too for a while but then I understood that keeping a balance of mind and body is most important and I will request the people to first make your heart and mind beautiful and healthy and then concentrate on your body,” he says.
